Stapelia variegata, commonly known as the Starfish Flower or Carrion Flower, is a truly unique succulent prized for its distinctive star-shaped blooms and trailing, cactus-like stems. The flowers are cream to yellow with bold maroon or purple markings, creating an eye-catching, patterned display that looks almost too perfect to be real. While the scent of the flower mimics rotting meat (used to attract pollinators like flies), its unusual beauty and low-maintenance growth make it a collector’s favorite.

Main Features:

• Exotic star-shaped flowers with bold variegated patterns

Care Tips:

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Can handle some direct sun but protect from scorching heat.

• Water: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in cooler months.

• Soil: Requires very well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix.

• Temperature: Thrives in warm conditions and must be protected from frost. Best grown indoors in cold climates.

• Fertilizer: Feed during the active growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted cactus fertilizer once a month.

• Maintenance: Very low-maintenance. Watch for mealybugs and avoid overwatering.
