Senecio jacobsenii, commonly known as Trailing Jade or Weeping Jade, is a trailing succulent native to East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanzania. Belonging to the Asteraceae family, it is prized for its cascading stems, fleshy jade-green leaves, and seasonal colour changes. This easy-care succulent is perfect for hanging baskets, pots, retaining walls, and ground cover, where its trailing habit can be fully appreciated.

Trailing Jade develops long, creeping stems lined with thick, overlapping leaves. In bright sunlight or cooler weather, the foliage often takes on attractive purple to burgundy tones, adding even more interest throughout the year. Mature plants may also produce clusters of small orange flowers during autumn and winter, providing an extra splash of colour.

Its vigorous growth and drought tolerance make it an excellent choice for both beginner gardeners and experienced succulent collectors.
