Sedum lucidum 'Giant Jelly Bean' is a colourful, low-maintenance succulent prized for its large, plump leaves and vibrant seasonal colour. This Mexican succulent produces glossy, rounded foliage that remains bright green in lower light before developing rich shades of red and crimson when grown in full sun or during cooler weather.
Its compact, spreading growth habit makes it an excellent choice for succulent gardens, rockeries, borders, decorative pots, hanging planters, and mixed succulent arrangements. As the plant matures, it forms dense clusters that create a striking carpet of colourful foliage with very little maintenance.
Like many Sedum varieties, 'Giant Jelly Bean' is exceptionally drought tolerant once established, making it ideal for Australian gardens and water-wise landscapes. During late winter and spring, mature plants may also produce clusters of small star-shaped white flowers that attract bees and other beneficial pollinators.

Good to Know
Sedum lucidum 'Giant Jelly Bean' is valued for both its colourful foliage and its versatility in the landscape. It performs well in containers, raised garden beds, green roofs, and xeriscape gardens where excellent drainage is available. The intensity of its red colouring naturally increases with bright sunlight and cooler temperatures, making it particularly attractive throughout autumn and winter.
This hardy succulent requires very little maintenance and can be propagated easily from stem cuttings or fallen leaves, allowing gardeners to expand their collection over time.
The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, your plant may vary slightly because no two plants are exactly the same.
