Sedum rupestre 'Angelina' – Golden Groundcover Succulent for Colourful Landscapes
Sedum rupestre 'Angelina', commonly known as Gold Mound Sedum or Angelina Stonecrop, is a vibrant, low-growing succulent prized for its brilliant golden foliage and fast-spreading growth habit. Its fine, needle-like leaves create a dense carpet of colour, making it one of the most popular groundcover succulents for rock gardens, borders, retaining walls, green roofs, and decorative containers.
Native to Europe, this hardy stonecrop thrives in sunny locations where its foliage develops rich golden-yellow tones. During cooler months, the leaves often take on beautiful shades of orange, amber, and copper, providing year-round seasonal interest in the garden.
As the plant matures, it spreads to form a soft, trailing mat that gently cascades over the edges of pots, raised garden beds, and stone walls. In late spring and summer, clusters of small, star-shaped yellow flowers appear above the foliage, attracting bees and other beneficial pollinators.
Well suited to Australian growing conditions, Sedum 'Angelina' tolerates heat, drought, coastal conditions, poor soils, and mild frost once established. Its resilience and vibrant colour make it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens and water-wise landscaping.

This versatile succulent combines beautifully with Echeverias, Sempervivums, Delosperma, Crassulas, Graptopetalums, and other drought-tolerant plants, creating colourful mixed succulent displays with contrasting textures and foliage colours.
The first two photos serve a display purpose only. The succulent plant is supplied in an 80mm nursery pot. Images are representative of what you will receive; however, every plant is naturally unique and may vary slightly in size, shape, and colour.
