Rhipsalis bolivianum is a graceful, trailing jungle cactus native to Bolivia, cherished for its long, slender stems that drape beautifully from hanging baskets. Unlike desert cacti, this epiphytic species thrives in bright, indirect light and enjoys more humidity, making it perfect for indoor spaces. Its cascading green stems can reach impressive lengths and, when mature, may produce clusters of tiny, creamy-white flowers followed by small berries.

Key Features:

  1. Trailing Growth – Elegant, cascading stems ideal for hanging baskets.

  2. Easy Indoor Plant – Thrives in bright, indirect light and tolerates humidity.

  3. Unique Cactus – A rainforest cactus, different from desert types.

  4. Seasonal Blooms – Produces delicate white flowers and small berries.

  5. Low Maintenance – Hardy and forgiving once established.

Care Tips:

  • Best in bright, indirect light; avoid harsh, direct sun.

  • Use well-draining, airy soil (cactus mix with added orchid bark or perlite).

  • Water when the topsoil is dry, but don’t allow it to fully dry out for long periods.

  • Protect from frost; prefers a warm, humid environment.
