Add a touch of exotic beauty to your collection with Pachypodium 'Yellow Gracilis'. This sought-after succulent features a slender, silvery-grey trunk adorned with sharp spines and topped with a crown of delicate, bright yellow flowers. Its unique bottle-like shape and vibrant blooms make it a captivating focal point.

Characteristics:

  • Flower Color: Bright yellow.
  • Trunk: Slender, silvery-grey, bottle-shaped.
  • Spines: Sharp, prominent along the trunk.
  • Leaves: Small, deciduous, typically appearing during the growing season.
  • Growth Habit: Upright, branching with age.
  • Rarity: Highly desirable and less common than other Pachypodiums.
  • Unique Feature: Striking yellow flowers, slender form.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Requires bright, direct sunlight for optimal growth and flowering.
  • Soil: Needs well-draining succulent or cactus mix. Excellent drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.
  • Water: Water sparingly during the active growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to mostly dry out between waterings. Reduce watering significantly or stop entirely during the dormant winter months.
  • Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures during the growing season. Protect from frost and temperatures below 50°F (10°C) in winter.
  • Humidity: Tolerates low humidity.
  • Fertilizing: Fertilize lightly during the growing season with a balanced, diluted succulent fertilizer once or twice. Avoid fertilizing during dormancy.
  • Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its container, using a well-draining mix.
  • Dormancy: Pachypodium 'Yellow Gracilis' naturally goes dormant in the cooler months, losing its leaves. This is a normal process, and watering should be significantly reduced or stopped during this time.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
