Pachyphytum rzedowskii displays thick, cylindrical, and slightly pointed leaves that are densely covered in a farina, a powdery white coating that gives them a soft, blue-gray hue. This farina serves to protect the plant from intense sunlight. The rosettes are relatively small and compact, contributing to its charming, miniature aesthetic. During the blooming season, it produces small, bell-shaped flowers, typically in shades of orange or red, adding a delightful contrast to its cool-toned foliage.
Care:
- Light: Pachyphytum rzedowskii thrives in bright, indirect sunlight.
-
Watering: Like most succulents, it prefers infrequent watering. Allow the soil to dry out completely between.
-
Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. This type of soil allows excess water to drain away quickly.
