Kalanchoe Eriophylla
Kalanchoe eriophylla, commonly known as the Felt Bush or Feltbush, is a unique succulent plant species belonging to the Kalanchoe genus and the Crassulaceae family. Native to the arid regions of Southern Africa, particularly South Africa and Namibia.
The Kalanchoe eriophylla features a compact, bushy growth habit, reaching a height of around 1 to 2 feet (30 to 60 centimeters). Its stems are woody and covered in a dense layer of fine, white or grayish hairs, giving the plant a fuzzy or felt-like texture. The leaves of the Kalanchoe eriophylla are thick, fleshy, and spoon-shaped, arranged in pairs or clusters along the stems. They are typically bluish-green or gray-green in color.During the blooming season, which typically occurs in spring or early summer, the Kalanchoe eriophylla produces clusters of small, bell-shaped flowers atop sturdy, erect stalks.
Kalanchoe eriophylla has adapted to arid conditions by storing water in its leaves and stems, making it well-suited for xeriscaping or dry gardens. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil. Like other succulents, it has low water requirements.
