Jatropha podagrica, commonly known as the Buddha Belly Plant, is a striking succulent shrub prized for its thick, swollen trunk and ornamental foliage. The caudex-like base stores water, giving it a unique bottle-shaped appearance. Its large, lobed green leaves contrast beautifully with the clusters of bright red flowers that bloom throughout the year, attracting pollinators like butterflies.
This drought-tolerant plant thrives in well-draining soil and requires bright, indirect light to full sun for optimal growth. It is well-suited for container gardening and can be grown indoors in a sunny spot. With minimal care, Jatropha podagrica adds a bold and exotic touch to any plant collection.
The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
