Its appearance is often likened to that of a cactus due to its thick, ribbed stems, although it lacks the spines typically found on cacti.The plant features small, scale-like leaves that are so reduced they often blend into the stems, appearing more like thorns.
Requires full sun to partial shade.Hoodia gordonii is extremely drought-tolerant. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.Plant in a well-draining cactus or succulent mix to prevent water retention around the roots.
