Gasteria glomerata is a distinctive South African succulent valued for its unusual texture, compact growth, and ability to form attractive clumps over time. How to Grow Gasteria glomerata

Light

Gasteria glomerata generally prefers bright filtered light or partial shade.

It can be grown indoors near a bright window or outdoors in a sheltered position. In hot Australian conditions, protection from strong afternoon sun can help prevent leaf damage.

Water

Allow the potting mix to dry before watering again.

When watering, give the plant a thorough drink and allow excess water to drain away. During cooler weather, watering should be reduced.

The thick leaves store water, so the plant is better suited to periods of dryness than constantly damp soil.

Soil and Drainage

Use a free-draining cactus or succulent mix.

A pot with drainage holes is important. Avoid heavy soils that remain wet around the roots for extended periods.

Temperature

Gasteria glomerata prefers mild to warm conditions and should be protected from frost.

In colder parts of Australia, keeping it in a pot makes it easier to move the plant to a sheltered location during winter.
