Euphorbia squarrosa, commonly known as Cushion Spurge or Squarrose Spurge, is a perennial succulent plant that belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family. It is native to Europe and Asia and is known for its attractive foliage and colorful bracts.

The bracts can be a range of colors, including yellow, green, chartreuse, or even shades of red or orange.Euphorbia squarrosa is a hardy plant that can tolerate a variety of growing conditions. It prefers well-draining soil and full to partial sun exposure. It is drought-tolerant and can withstand dry periods once established.

This species is often used as a border plant, in rock gardens, or as an accent in mixed succulent plantings. Its compact growth habit and vibrant bracts make it a popular choice among gardeners and succulent enthusiasts looking to add color and texture to their landscapes.

Euphorbia squarrosa is a spiny succulent up to 30 cm tall. The fleshy underground root eventually erupts above the soil creating a caudex. The caudex can be up to 10 cm in diameter.
