Echeveria Purple Afterglow

Echeveria ‘Purple Afterglow’ is a stunning succulent known for its compact rosettes of fleshy leaves that transition from silvery green at the base to deep purple at the tips, giving it a mesmerizing “afterglow” effect. This eye-catching plant is perfect for containers, rock gardens, or mixed succulent arrangements, adding color and elegance to any collection. It produces pink to coral bell-shaped flowers on tall stalks in spring to summer.

• Foliage: Fleshy, pointed leaves with a gradient from silvery green to deep purple.

• Growth Habit: Compact rosette-forming succulent that produces offsets over time.

• Flowering: Pink to coral, bell-shaped flowers on tall stems in spring–summer.

• Height/Spread: 8–12 cm tall, spreading 15–20 cm.

• Hardiness: Drought-tolerant and best grown in mild, frost-free conditions or indoors in colder climates.

Care Tips:

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun—more sun enhances purple tones.

• Soil: Use well-draining succulent or cactus soil.

• Watering: Follow the soak-and-dry method; water thoroughly, then let soil dry completely. Reduce watering in winter.

• Fertilizer: Feed lightly during spring and summer with a diluted succulent fertilizer.

• Temperature: Protect from frost; ideal for warm, dry climates or indoor cultivation.

• Maintenance: Remove dead leaves and spent flower stalks to keep the rosette tidy.
