Drimia intricata is an unusual and rare bulbous succulent native to southern Africa, known for its fascinating spiral or tangled leaf growth that gives it its name. The plant produces slender, wiry, and often curled or intricately interwoven leaves that emerge seasonally from a small, underground bulb.
During its active growing season, it may produce tall flower spikes with small, starry blossoms—often white or pale pink—adding a delicate charm to its wild form. Its distinct growth habit and minimal care needs make it a prized addition to any rare or caudiciform plant collection.
