lehmannii, commonly known as Lehmann's ice plant or trailing ice plant, is a low-growing succulent plant belonging to the Aizoaceae family. It is native to the southwestern regions of South Africa. The daisy-like flowers are small, measuring around 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter, and typically have bright, vibrant colors.
It prefers well-draining soil and can tolerate various soil types, including sandy or rocky soil. This drought-tolerant plant is adapted to survive in low-water conditions and can store water in its leaves.
Its trailing habit also makes it an excellent choice for cascading over walls, rockeries, or hanging baskets, where its vibrant flowers can create an eye-catching display.
It likes full sun to a partly shaded position and would look good in a hanger. Stems grow up to 25 cm long and maybe needs a bit more water than other succulents especially in the warmer weather. Pale yellow flowers form in the spring.
