Stenocactus coptonogonus, also known as the Brain Cactus due to its intricate rib patterning, is a fascinating and visually striking cacti species. Native to the high plateaus of Mexico.
Growth Habit: Stenocactus coptonogonus typically grows as a solitary plant, forming a low, globular to slightly elongated body that can reach up to 6 inches in height and 4 inches in diameter.
Spine Characteristics: One of the most distinctive features of Stenocactus coptonogonus is its spines. The plant sports numerous thin, needle-like spines that radiate outwards, forming a protective barrier around the cactus.
