The Pincushion Cactus 'Discolour v. Schmollii', known scientifically as Mammillaria schmollii, is a lesser-known but equally charming member of the extensive Mammillaria genus.

Mammillaria schmollii typically forms small, cylindrical to slightly conical bodies that can grow both as solitary individuals or in clusters through offsets.Mammillaria schmollii is prolific in its flowering, typically producing rings of small, vibrant pink to red flowers that encircle the top of the cactus.

Its small size and ornamental appearance make Mammillaria schmollii ideal for container gardening, where it can be displayed on windowsills, balconies, or patios.This cactus is also well-suited for rock gardens, where its compact form and attractive flowering can complement other succulents and rockery plants.

Mammillaria schmollii requires minimal care, thriving with basic watering and occasional feeding.it is highly drought-tolerant.Prefers full sun to partial shade.
