Echinopsis chilensis, commonly known as the Chilean or Sea-Urchin Cactus, is a species of cactus native to South America, particularly found in Chile and Peru. Echinopsis chilensis is a visually captivating cactus species celebrated for its unique appearance and adaptability.
The spines can vary in color from pale yellow to brown and are generally short and stout. When mature, this cactus produces large, funnel-shaped flowers that come in a range of colors, including white, pink, red, and even orange.
It thrives in well-draining soil and prefers full sunlight or partial shade. This cactus is adapted to arid conditions and is drought-tolerant.
