Light:
Grow in full sun for the best shape and leaf colour. It can also tolerate part shade, particularly in very hot, dry climates where afternoon protection may benefit younger plants.

Watering:
Water sparingly once established. Allow the soil to dry completely before watering again.

Soil:
Use a very free-draining cactus or succulent mix to keep the roots healthy.

Climate:
Best suited to warm, dry conditions. Protect from prolonged frost and excessive winter moisture.

• The leaf tips end in a short spine, so handle the plant with care.
• Like most Agave species, Agaves bloom only once at maturity. The plant eventually produces a spectacular flower spike with tall flowering stalks, then completes its natural life cycle. This usually takes many years.
