Agave 'Trade Winds' is a hybrid succulent plant that is a cross between Agave attenuata and Agave ocahui. It is a relatively new cultivar that was developed by a California nursery in the United States.

Leaves/Growing:

  • The leaves have a smooth, waxy texture and are edged with small teeth.
  • The plant is slow-growing and can take several years to reach its full size.
  • After flowering, the plant will eventually die, but it will produce offsets or "pups" that can be transplanted and grown as new plants.
  • It can be grown in pots or containers or in the ground.
  • Forms rosettes of variegated blue/gray leaves with yellow margins and maroon teeth.
  • Grows to approx. 30 cm tall and 30 cm wide. Great specimen plants, best in morning sun.

Key Features:

  • The stalk is covered in small yellow flowers that bloom in late spring or early summer.
  • Agave 'Trade Winds' is a beautiful and hardy plant that can add a unique touch to any garden or indoor space.
  • Its blue-green color and smooth texture make it a popular choice for landscaping and ornamental purposes.
  • Agave ‘Tradewinds’ is one of the smaller agave, which freely offsets.
  • Light: Thrives in full sun, where its colors and variegation will be most vibrant.
  • Water: Water infrequently, allowing the soil to fully dry between watering sessions. Reduce watering in the winter months.
  • Soil: Requires well-draining soil.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
