Agave Titanota

Agave titanota, commonly known as the "Titan Century Plant" or "Mad Cow Agave," is a remarkable succulent species celebrated for its impressive size, striking rosette form, and captivating ornamental features. Native to the mountains of Mexico.

Agave titanota is a slow-growing plant that forms a rosette of thick, blue-green leaves with a waxy texture.They have striking white markings along the edges and ridges, giving them a unique and attractive appearance. The tips of the leaves are sharp and can be quite dangerous, so it is important to handle the plant with care.

The stalk is covered in small yellow flowers that bloom in late spring or early summer. After flowering, the plant will eventually die, but it will produce offsets or "pups" that can be transplanted and grown as new plants.

Agave titanota is a drought-tolerant plant that prefers full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil. It can be grown in pots or containers or in the ground. It is important to not overwater the plant, as it is susceptible to root rot. Additionally, this plant can be quite hardy and can withstand colder temperatures than many other Agave species, making it a great choice for gardeners in cooler climates.

Agave titanota is a medium sized growing agave that occasionally produces offsets, Perfect for the dryer climates and will tolerate light frosts. Grows well in full sun to light shade, and it is my understanding that it will get to around 50 to 60 cm tall. Great landscaping plant.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
