Agave splendida is a species of succulent plant that belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It is native to the Chihuahuan Desert, which is located in the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico.

Leaves:

  • The leaves are lined with sharp spines along the edges and a sharp tip at the end.
  • The stalk is covered in small yellowish-green flowers that bloom in late spring or early summer.
  • Leaves are dark green with a greeny gold stripe that goes along the center of each leaf.

Growing: It can be grown in pots or containers or in the ground.

Key Features:

  • Great for pots as a specimen but looks really striking in the succulent garden because of its variegation.
  • Morning to full sun, but I do prefer morning sun.
  • Agave splendida is a drought-tolerant plant that prefers full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil.
  • Additionally, the sharp spines on the leaves can be a hazard, so it is best to handle the plant with care and keep it away from areas where children and pets play.
  • This succulent is well-suited for arid gardens and xeriscape designs, thriving in well-draining soil and reveling in abundant sunlight.

Please note: May have to be sent bare rooted because of its size.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 130mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
