Sedum ‘Green Mound’ is a charming, low-growing succulent known for its dense, cushion-like mounds of tiny, rounded green leaves. This mat-forming sedum creates a lush, soft texture that works beautifully as a groundcover, in rock gardens, or as a filler in container arrangements. It is tough, drought-tolerant, and ideal for gardeners looking to add year-round greenery with minimal effort.

Key Characteristics:

  • Foliage: Small, rounded green leaves forming dense mounds

  • Growth Habit: Spreading, low-growing, ground-hugging succulent

  • Size: Typically grows 5–10 cm tall and spreads 30–40 cm wide

  • Use: Excellent for rock gardens, between stepping stones, succulent bowls, or as a groundcover

Care Tips:

  • Light: Thrives in full sun to partial shade. More sun encourages compact growth and richer color.

  • Watering: Drought-tolerant once established. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.

  • Soil: Prefers well-draining soil. A sandy or gritty succulent mix is ideal.

  • Temperature: Performs well in mild to warm climates. Protect from hard frost.

  • Fertilizer: Requires little feeding. Apply a diluted succulent fertilizer during the growing season if desired.

  • Maintenance: Very low maintenance. Trim back if it becomes overgrown or leggy.

  • Propagation: Easily propagated by division or stem cuttings.

Special Features:

  • Forms dense, green carpets with a soft, moss-like look

  • Drought- and heat-tolerant

  • Great for containers, edging, and groundcover

  • Ideal for beginners and low-maintenance gardens

  • Attracts bees and beneficial insects when flowering

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
