Oncidesa Saint Dawn Gold is a striking Oncidium-type orchid hybrid known for its sprays of bright yellow “dancing lady” flowers. This compact orchid works well on a bright indoor windowsill, orchid shelf, or protected patio where its cheerful blooms can be enjoyed.
This hybrid was created from Oncidesa Aloha Iwanaga × Oncidesa Sweet Sugar, combining the vigorous growth and floriferous nature of both parents. The plant develops small pseudobulbs with arching green leaves and sends up tall branching flower spikes carrying many golden blooms.
When in flower, the display resembles a cloud of tiny dancing figures, which is why orchids in this group are commonly called “dancing lady orchids.” The blooms are long-lasting and appear in clusters above the foliage, creating a bright and lively display in the home or greenhouse.
This orchid is often chosen by collectors and hobby growers who enjoy Oncidium-type orchids for their generous flowering habit and manageable plant size.
