Mammillaria bombycina
Mammillaria bombycina is a small cactus admired for its dense white spines and natural clustering growth. It creates an attractive cactus display in sunny windowsills, patios, or small container collections.
The plant gradually forms groups of rounded stems that grow closely together as it matures.
Description
This species develops rounded cactus bodies covered with soft white radial spines. The dense spine coverage gives the plant a woolly appearance while still maintaining a structured cactus shape.
As the plant grows older it produces offsets around the base, gradually forming a compact cluster of stems.
Mature plants may produce small rings of pink flowers near the crown during warmer months, adding seasonal interest.
