Prepare to be mesmerized by the strikingly geometric beauty of Crassula 'Pagoda Village'. This fascinating succulent forms intricate, stacked columns of tightly packed, fleshy leaves, resembling miniature pagodas or ancient villages rising from the soil. Its unique, almost architectural structure and subtle coloration, often ranging from silvery-green to reddish hues under stress, make it a standout addition to any succulent collection or miniature garden. Admired for its intriguing form and remarkably low-maintenance nature, 'Pagoda Village' thrives on neglect, making it a perfect choice for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts seeking a truly distinctive and resilient succulent.

Characteristics:

  • Striking Pagoda-Like Structure: Forms dense, upright columns of tightly overlapping, triangular leaves.
  • Compact Growth Habit: Typically remains small and contained, ideal for small spaces and arrangements.
  • Color Variation: Exhibits silvery-green foliage that can blush with reddish or purplish tones under bright light or cooler temperatures.
  • Textural Interest: The tightly packed leaves create a unique and appealing texture.
  • Drought-Tolerant: Highly adapted to dry conditions and requires minimal watering once established.
  • Relatively Slow-Growing: Maintains its compact and architectural form for an extended period.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight to full sun. More light can enhance coloration but avoid intense midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
  •  Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of failure. Reduce watering significantly during the dormant winter months.
  • Soil: Requires well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Amend regular potting soil with perlite or sand to improve drainage.
  • Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures (65-75°F or 18-24°C) during the growing season. Can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures in winter but protect from frost.
  • Humidity: Tolerates average indoor humidity. Avoid excessively humid environments.
  • Fertilizing: Feed sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer once every 2-4 weeks. Avoid fertilizing during the dormant winter months.
  •  Propagation: Easily propagated from offsets (small plants that grow at the base) or leaf cuttings.

The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.
