Appearance:

• Shape & Size: This cactus grows in clusters of slender, columnar stems that can reach heights of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The stems are typically a beautiful blue color, sometimes with a slightly powdery or waxy coating that enhances their hue.

• Spines: The stems are adorned with rows of areoles (small bumps) bearing clusters of golden-yellow spines. These spines provide a subtle contrast against the blue stems and offer protection from herbivores.

Growth Habits and Care:

• Watering: Drought-tolerant once established; water moderately during the growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
