Is a unique and eye-catching succulent plant belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family. It is native to the arid regions of South Africa.The stem is covered in distinctive ridges or ribs that run vertically from the top to the base, resembling the texture of a melon. These ribs are often adorned with small, conical tubercles or spines.
Cultivating Euphorbia meloformis requires well-draining soil and bright sunlight. It is a drought-tolerant plant that prefers infrequent watering.It can be grown in containers or planted in rock gardens or desert-themed landscapes to add a touch of uniqueness and visual interest.
Common name is Melon Spurge. Euphorbias are easy care plants and have really interesting characteristics. This fellow is a dwarf succulent and forms clumps of round shaped bulbs up to 12cm in width. Prefers a sunny position and as it is a euphorbia, care must be taken when handling these plants. White sap emerges from leaf breaks, and this sap is poisonous. However I have been growing Euphorbias for years and have never had any problems.
